讲座题目：Enhanced wound healing by basketweave-patterned electrospun nanofibrous scaffolds
Chen Xiaofeng is professor and Chairman of Department of Biomedical Engineering of South China University of Technology(SCUT), and vice director of National Engineering Research Center for Tissue Restoration and Reconstruction, China. He is Fellow of Biomaterials Science and Engineering (FBSE), International Union of Society of Biomaterials Science and Engineering; Executive member of Chinese Society for Biomaterials; Director of Biomaterials Branch, Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering.
Professor Chen has engaged in research on the bioactive materials for dental and orthopedic applications since 1988, such as: bioactive glasses, bioceramics and their composites with biomedical polymers.
In recent years, his research directions have focused on: 1. Preparation and characterization of structure and properties of micro- and nano-bioactive glasses with function of the gene activation; 2. New type biomaterials and tissue engineering scaffolds for bone, teeth, cartilage and skin restoration; 3. Mechanism of bone and skin tissue regeneration and restoration of the micro- and nano-biomaterials by activating osteo-genes through certain signal pathways. He has published more than 130 papers and been authorized invention patent of China more than ten pieces.
